We start with the position of the European Union in supporting and encouraging the Iberian-EU gas interconnections. That position comes after German Chancellor Olaf Scholz came out in favour of a pipeline to transport gas from Portugal through Spain and France to the rest of Europe.
Last week, Vietnam is considering building a high-speed railway that runs along the country's length with a possible price tag of up to US$58.7 billion. Read more, here.
Vietnam’s new Cybersecurity Law, which brings some concerns to the business community, was issued by the Vietnamese Government on 15 August 2022 and will become fully effective on 1 October 2022. CCIPV will create a special post with FAQ soon.
Portugal and Vietnam share similarities in the Blue Economy. The Portuguese Blue Economy is in clear acceleration in the last four years (2015-2018): Exports increase 25%, Company’s GVA grows 30% and the Merchant Navy rises 94%. In Vietnam, a national marine spatial master plan is being developed to fuel the sustainable development of marine economic clusters and establish sea-based economic hubs by 2030.
