On the 13th of July, the European Union Commissioner for Agriculture H.E. Janusz Wojciechowski integrated a Trade Mission to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, which CCIPV's Chairman, Sérgio Pereira da Silva and more 2 Portugueses companies attended.
Eurocham and CCIPV welcoming and working with a visiting European delegation, including the European Union Commissioner for Agriculture H.E. Janusz Wojciechowski, and fifty senior representatives of the European agri-food sector.
The delegation, which included two Portuguese Companies (Filporc and Monte do Pasto), was engaged in numerous activities both in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City during its visit, including a seminar on European agricultural food on 11 July in Hanoi, the EU-Vietnam Agrifood Business Forum on 13 July in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as concurrent networking activities.
Throughout these events, agricultural marketing, eco-friendly practices, and EU-Vietnamese business partnerships were discussed.
EuroCham and CCIPV were well represented at these events, with EuroCham Vice-Chair Jean-Jacques Bouflet, Johan van den Ban (De Heus) on behalf of EuroCham's Food Agri & Aqua Business Sector Committee (FAABS) , and Vice-Chair of EuroCham's Transport and Logistics Sector Committee Hans Kersten (DEEP C Industrial Zones Vietnam) all delivering speeches, CCIPV's Chairman Sérgio Pereira da Silva.
Through the delegation's events, Mr. Bouflet was also treated as a guest of honour.
Having this delegation here has been an exceptional experience, as it presented a unique opportunity for us to further the development of Portuguese businesses in Vietnam.
We look forward to furthering collaboration with visiting European and Portuguese delegations in the future, especially those interested in expanding their presence in Vietnam and bringing more Vietnamese companies to Portugal.
